Pasaia has great communications with the southwest of France and with the whole Iberian Peninsula. Because of its location and its communications, the area of influence of the harbour covers the most industrialised area of Spain. We must take into account that Pasaia is the closest Atlantic port to the Spanish Mediterranean area.
The accesses to the Port by road can hardly be better. Pasaia has direct communication with the peninsula and with the rest of Europe. There are two direct links with the National-1 road that links Madrid and Irun, allowing the fast communication of the harbour with the south and the east of the peninsula. And with the Bilbao - Behobia motorway, we can access the west and the south of the peninsula, as well as France. |
Besides the excellent terrestrial connections, there are 5 important airports close to the port. The San Sebastian airport is 10 kilometres away from the port enclosure, while the Bilbao, Vitoria, Pamplona and Biarritz airports are less than 120 kilometres away.
